UROP is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students of partner universities in the US and Canada to get hands-on experience in research during a ten-week summer internship at RWTH. In addition, RWTH offers a wide array of extracurricular activities, such as field trips to Cologne, Bonn or Düsseldorf, that allow visiting students to experience German culture, society, and history.
This year, we are pleased to welcome Sarah Bargfrede from University of Michigan, who will be part of our team as a student intern until the end of July. During her internship, she will have plenty of opportunities to gather some first-hand experience with research in the area of security and privacy, in particular with host-based intrusion detection, and (of course!) life at COMSYS.
