The aim of the SFB MAKI was to research the future of the Internet to adapt it to its new requirements: more users, more applications, more data transfer. The participants of the project investigated communication systems in order to combine mechanisms efficiently, with a special focus on the transition technology. Within MAKI, COMSYS researched programming methods, languages and tools for the development and manageability of adaptive and programmable core networks.
The project concluded with a final event on May 2 and 3, 2024, which took place in Seeheim.
