The SUSTAINET-guarDian project officially launched from February 4 to February 6 in Kaiserslautern, led by DFKI, with a focus on transforming high-performance communication networks that are vital to Europe's infrastructure. In response to pressing global challenges, this initiative seeks to enhance network resilience, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
At COMSYS, key objectives include prioritizing security and sustainability within the project framework. The initiative focuses on rethinking network security architectures to enable trustworthy end-to-end services, developing automated systems capable of responding to anomalies and attacks, and ensuring the reliability of communication systems throughout their lifecycle.
The kickoff event welcomed international partners from various countries, including Finland, the UK, Spain, and Canada, underscoring the project's collaborative spirit. The consortium, particularly COMSYS, is eager to work alongside these partners to drive innovation. SUSTAINET_guarDian unites a diverse array of research partners committed to exploring the intersection of resilience, security, and sustainability in communication networks. By fostering collaboration between industry and academia, the project aims to propel innovation for the next generation of communication technologies.
