Dipl. Inform. Tobias Vaegs

Communication and Distributed Systems
(Chair of Computer Science 4)
RWTH Aachen University

I am no longer a member of the chair of communication and distributed systems, so this page ceased to be maintained. Since April 2012 my new affiliation is at the "Center for Learning and Knowledge Management" (ZLW) at RWTH Aachen University.

My current information can be found at www.ima-zlw-ifu.rwth-aachen.de/en/tobias.vaegs.html.

Short Biography

I am a PhD student and research assistant at the Chair of Communication and Distributed Systems since November 2010. My research interests lie in (Wireless) Sensor Networks, Participatory and/or Ubiquitous Sensing and Delay-Tolerant Networking.

From May to October 2010 I worked on the Floating Content project for the Department of Communications and Networking (Comnet) at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland.

In March 2010 I graduated as a Diplom-Informatiker (M.Sc. equiv.) in computer science at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. In my diploma thesis I developed a routing protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks using probabilistic addressing.
