On November 25, 2019, Dr. Martin Henze, alumnus of the Chair for Computer Science 4 (COMSYS), was awarded the Young Consumer Researcher Award NRW 2019 ("Nachwuchsförderpreis Verbraucherforschung NRW 2019") for his doctoral thesis on "Accounting for Privacy in the Cloud Computing Landscape".
Since 2012 this prize is awarded for excellent theses that contribute to consumer research.
In his doctoral thesis on "Accounting for Privacy in the Cloud Computing Landscape" Dr. Martin Henze investigated the impact of Cloud Computing on consumer privacy and presented new techniques that allow for more transparent and privacy-protecting collection and usage of personal data by apps.
