We are happy to have Prof. Salil Kanhere from the School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW Sydney at our chair to discuss the latest developments in the areas of CPS, IoT and blockchain. Further discussions evolved around the future of digital supply chain management. All these topics have a significance for upcoming research in the Cluster of Excellence "Internet of Production".
As part of Prof. Salil Kanhere's stay, we also visited the production site of the forming department of the WZL - Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering. We were able to gather some valuable insights into future challenges while discussing state-of-the-art solutions. We would like to thank Philipp Niemietz for the hospitality and the interesting presentation evolving around their fine blanking line.
COMSYS would like to thank the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the kind support within the Cluster of Excellence "Internet of Production" (IoP) which allowed us to have Prof. Kanhere at RWTH Aachen University for fruitful discussions. We are looking forward to following collaborations.
