COMSYS wins the Best Demo Award at IEEE WoWMoM 2015

For their demo "WARPsim: A Code-Transparent Network Simulator for WARP Devices" Andreas Schumacher, Martin Serror, Christian Dombrowski and James Gross were granted the Best Demo Award at IEEE WoWMoM 2015 in Boston, MA, USA. Congratulations!

Andreas Schumacher, Martin Serror, Christian Dombrowski and James Gross were awarded with the Best Demo Award for their demonstration at this years IEEE International Symposium on a World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks (<link http: csr.bu.edu wowmom15>WoWMoM 2015). In the demonstration, the authors presented a simulator for WARP devices that allows to interchangeably execute MAC protocol code on WARP devices and in the simulator. Furthermore, the simulator visualizes the behavior of the protocol graphically, which is especially useful in the early stages of the development – to get a better understanding of the protocol and to debug conceptional errors early on. The audience interacted with the demonstration by changing simulation parameters for different MAC protocols, such as the number of emulated stations or the transmission channel reliability. COMSYS thanks the authors for the successful preparation and presentation of the demonstration.
