This project explores the implications of using synthetic data in healthcare, focusing on liver research. It examines differences between synthetic and real-world data, evaluates generation approaches, and assesses the validity of conclusions drawn from both data sources. The interdisciplinary effort combines medical expertise and computer science to address critical gaps in synthetic data utility for healthcare.

This project leverages AI and machine learning to create patient-specific embeddings from single-cell transcriptomics data, enabling the identification of unique disease signatures. By integrating bioinformatics and clinical expertise, it aims to enhance data-driven medicine and uncover novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

This master thesis explores simulating genetic knockout responses in single-cell RNA sequencing data, aiming to reduce the need for costly experiments. It offers hands-on experience with deep learning and the opportunity to co-publish results in a cutting-edge research environment.

Digital Campus was an interdisciplinary project aimed at improving access to teaching and support services for international students at German universities through digital means, enhancing their integration into university curricula.
